ERW means electric-resistance welding, electric-resistance welding has the features of high production efficiency, low cost, material saving, easy automation etc., therefore it is widely applied in the transport of oil and natural gas, it is one of the important welding process.
ERW steel pipe has the advantages of using the hot rolled coil as the raw material, the wall thickness being controlled within ±0.2mm, the two ends of the steel pipe being in accordance with the API standard of the United States or the standard of GB/T9711.1, the groove being made for the modified end, delivery with the fixed dimensional length. The respective projects of natural gas pipelines and the companies of coal gas has widely applied the ERW steel pipe as the main steel pipe for the pipelines in the cities.
